Okay well as much as I’m upset we lost Cody, I think in the long run, it’s going to be better for him.
In Buffalo he’s going to get much more ice time, and has first line potential where as here, he was probably never going to move up from the third line because our first two lines are already so established.
Gillis wanted size and toughness, and he definitely got that with Kassian.
It might not necessarily give us more of a chance at The Cup, and I can’t say for sure that Kassian will be best for us since I haven’t seen him play for us yet, but I think the trade was definitely good for Cody, as sad as we are to see him leave.
